G-Tec-C4 Gel Rolling Ball Pen

I have a slight obsession with pens. I’m old school when it comes to such things and nothing replaces the feel of a nice pen on a clean sheet of paper for brainstorming or writing.  In my opinion, the G-Tec-C4 from Pilot is one of the best on the planet.

The pen isn’t fancy and doesn’t look all that cool.  When I first got them in the mail, I thought they were going to be terrible, but then I started writing with them it was like magic. Though the pen is a ball point gel, I have never had any trouble with smearing that usually accompanies such gel pens.  The pen glides with each stroke of the letter and feels very much like using a fine pencil.  The ink is smooth and consistent as well, and I have been using this pen for about three weeks without streaking or fail.

The cap snaps on tightly with a satisfying click and holds firmly in place on the bottom of the pen when in use.  It even includes a dandy little sticker to remind you to tightly replace the cap.  I ordered a 5-pack with a variety of colors, (included are black, blue, green, purple, and red) that I use for a variety of projects and marking in my Bible.

The only downside is the plastic outside.  It does feel at least a bit cheap and could stand some aesthetic updates, but that certainly doesn’t take away anything significant from the overall effect.  They are also a touch on the expensive side, but I think they are worth it.

I can’t remember the last time I actively sought to not lose a set of pens.  In fact, I still keep them in their original packaging.  I highly recommend them to all my ministry friends.

You can purchase these pens from Amazon.
